Here's a more detailed explanation of our THREE METHODS of selling guns:
MAIL ORDER CATALOG - Old Town Station Dispatch.
This is our main sales method. Our catalog is mailed to subscribers, usually about 3 issues per year. All guns are pictured, described, and offered for sale at a set, firm price. Generally, when we buy a gun for inventory, we do not offer it for sale until the catalog listing it has mailed to all subscribers. This way, subscribers always get first shot at our finds.
Subscriptions - A subscription is $35 US, $50 international. For this you usually get 5 to 7 catalogs over a period of about two years. (A subscription is for 7 issues, but sometimes we put out a double-sized issue that counts as two issues). Recent issues have run from 60 to 100 pages, usually with 600 to 1200 guns listed. Regular customers can receive complimentary catalogs. However, catalogs are mailed first to customers who have paid for a subscription. When we have a live auction, the catalog for that auction will be published as a Dispatch & mailed to subscribers. Subscription information here.
Sales policies -
All firearms laws must be complied with, sales made only on our published Terms.
Sales made on a first come, first served basis.
Three day inspection period. We want you to be happy with your purchase & you need not give a reason for returning for a refund. Full sales price will be refunded, but buyer pays shipping both ways.
Prices are firm.
WEBSITE - ArmchairGunShow.com
After the rush of orders from a new catalog dies down a bit, remaining items are listed on our Armchair.com website. This means that substantial new inventory is added about 3 times a year. As time allows, we update the website to show which guns have been sold & which are still available. However, the website is a secondary priority compared to buying & selling guns, preparing the mail order catalog, and producing live auctions, so it can go a while without updating.
Despite this benign neglect, our website enjoys great popularity. We get 2,500 to 3,000 unique visitors every day. We rank in the top 20 for most major search engines for most relevant terms. For example, recent Google ratings are as follows:
Firearms for sale - #1
Guns for sale - #5
Antique guns - #2
Antique guns for sale - #1
Collectible firearms - #2
Sales policies & terms are the same as for our mail order catalog.
LIVE AUCTIONS - ArmsBid.com
We conduct live auctions of firearms at least twice a year as Kull & Supica Firearms Auctions, in conjunction with Kull Auction & Real Estate Co., at Kull's Auction Pavilion in Topeka, KS, near Forbes Field Air Base. When we do live auctions, they are fully cataloged for absentee bidders, and nationally and locally advertised. The catalog for live auctions is also published on line at ArmsBid.com. In most auctions, buyer can bid live, by mail or fax. After each auction, prices realized are listed at the website. These are left up for information & for the enjoyment of web surfers. Once the guns have sold at auction, they are no longer for sale, of course.
