Rogers & Spencer - U.S. military percussion revolver - .44 cal. - 7.5" oct. barrel. - Fine condition. - Frame 90%, cyl. & bbl. 40% bright blue on crisp metal, with faint cleaning striations. Strong markings include double stamped "ROGERS & SPENCER" on top strap, matching B inspector marks, and very strong cartouche in fine grips. Darkened case colors on rammer & hammer. Cooper Pocket Model - double action percussion revolver - .31 cal; 4" barrel. - Very good condition. - Crisp plum patina metal with traces of original blue; very good markings except 3rd line of barrel patents very faint, possibly from cocked die when originally struck. Frame crisp & about silvered out. Working DA only. Very good one piece wood grips ma - Frankford Phila. Pa. barrel address, without the word "Address"; iron grip frame; cyl. bolt on left side of frame. If I’m reading Flayderman right, I would take this to be an early 2nd Phila. James Harper - Transitional percussion revolver - .45 cal. - 5.75" oct. barrel. - Fine condition. - Barrel retains 30-40% original bright blue, mixed with plum patina in an unusual aging pattern I’ve observed before: longitudinal wavy striations. Cylinder about gone plum. Maybe 10-20% brilliant case colors on frame; balance gone to medium patina; 60% case colors on hammer. Needs mech tuning, working but hammer tends to only half strike on every other chamber; sound nipples. - Good "James Harper" marking on top of barrel.
