Smith & Wesson - 1950 .45 Colt Target Model - Five screw revolver; unusual barrel length & caliber; with box. - 45 Colt - Shortened 5" barrel. - Excellent condition. - 98-99% original satin blue, with light muzzle wear & a few scuffs; excellent dark case colors. Excellent mech, bore & unnumbered coke bottle diamond center grips. - Estimated that only about 200 were made in this caliber. The barrel is correctly crowned; however the sight base is pinned and the barrel markings are placed forward on the barrel as they would be if a 6.5" barrel had been shortened to 5". Target Model S&W - 38 M&P Model, Model 1905, 4th Change - .38 Special - 6" barrel. - Excellent condition as factory reworkd. - 98% of what markings suggest is a September 1946 factory soft reblue (rework star on butt has been partially obliterated); some faint spotting on left side of barrel; darkening case colors; excellent markings. Excellent mech & bore; excellent unnumbered large silver medallion diamond grips. Rear sight base is not numbered.
