Sirs I am Steve M...... I was a young GI in 1966, 19,  when I took a 50 caliber reproduction rifle with me on a trip to show my buddy in upstate NY to him as I had told him about it during basic training and he wanted to see it. The rifle was a half stock curly maple stocked rifle and it was built by L.A. Parker of Belmont, Ohio. My mother bought me that rifle and I was so very proud of it.

Someone in NYC where I had gone to see a girl before going on to upstate,  broke into my car and stole the rifle. I called my rifle "Little Beaver". Little Beaver had a 50 caliber G.R. Douglas Barrel. a set of original set triggers and an octagon barrel. A brass butt plate and small patch box on stock. It was a percussion cap rifle. I sure would love to find "Little Beaver" as he is out there somewhere. The rifle is probably not worth much to most but worth a ton to me. If you ever run onto or know of "Little Beaver" please take time to let me know. A sure way to know is pull the barrel off the stock and underneath the barrel it is marked L.A. Parker No. 1. Thanks for listening to me., Steve  safetycomp@msn.com thanks again. Steve

Stevens Model 26 Crackshot, sentimental value, "Jim Elgan" on paper under metal buttplate.  My Father bought a steven model 26 crackshot in 1934 gave $4.00 for it and two boxes LR shells.   I carried this rifle and trapped and hunted with it in southern Indiana till I went in the army in 1943 and after marrying and having three sons my oldest son borrowed it and someone broke into his home in the country at Pikeville,Tn.   December 1980 and stole the gun which meant a loss to me that  couldn't be replaced. I put my name with an old address label under the metal butt plate (the address has changed) but the name should be there and some one has purchased this weapon which is stolen and I feel should be returned to its rightful owner( I will pay the amout payed out for purchased and to have it returned)

Historic Factory Engraved Colt Bisley was stolen from the Phillips County Museum in Malta MT 10/22/04.  This gun belonged to the famous outlaw "Dutch Henry".    It is a 4 3/4" barrel, .45 Colt Engraved Bisley with Yellowed Steerhead Ivory Grips.  Most of the original nickle finish is gone to gray.   Serial number is 190479.  See Keith Cochran's SA Encyclopedia #2 pages 54-57 for more details on the gun and the man.   Contact Sheriff Tom Miller  at 1-406-654-2350 if you have any information about this gun

* RECOVERED & RETURNED, June 2006.   Theodore Roosevelt's Colt U.S. Army Model 1895, s/n 16334 - Carried by T.R. in the Spanish American War, and used by him to kill an enemy combatant, stolen a few years ago from the Sagamore Hill National Historic site.  It's a Colt U.S. Army Model 1895 (one of the military issue New Army & Navy pattern D.A. swing out cylinder revolvers), s/n 16334, inscribed "July 1st, 1898 / San Juan / carried & used by / Col. Theodore Roosevelt" on the right side of the frame, and "From the sunken Battleship Maine" on the left side. Grip butt is marked "USN 38 DA No. 5770 NCT 16 334".  There was a rumor going around a while back that it had surfaced in one of those despicable "gun buy-backs", and had been saved from the cutting torch by a sharp-eyed history buff. Turned out to be a rumor, but the gun is a national treasure that should be restored to it's rightful place, and it's something gun collectors should keep in the back of their minds as they attend gun shows & displays.

*  I was in Columbus, GA on Monday, 21 June 04, conducting training with the AMU at Ft. Benning when 5 weapons and associated equipment was stolen from my truck. The AR's have a unique flip sight on the carbon tube and the rifles are set up for a left hander, because I'm left handed. I know I will probably never see them but if you hear of any Competition guns for sale, let me know and I will pay them a visit! Please send this to your local clubs, ranges, gun shops, and shoot'in buddies. The Police told me that stolen guns from the area have been showing up in Atlanta, Huntsville, Montgomery, Jacksonville, and Tallahssee. Maybe I will get lucky
